Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We will normally send your order to you in 3 - 8 business days .

Our orders will be shipped from our office in Germany.

We aim to send larger items (ukuleles, cases etc) by DHL, fully insured. You will therefore need to sign for delivery. It is your responsibility to make sure the item is sent to an address where someone wil be available to receive it and sign for it during normal working hours.

Smaller items, such as strings and books, are usually sent via normal First Class Mail.

Please contact us for shipping costs outside Europe.
Delivery Schedule
We try to dispatch orders within 48 hours of receipt where possible. Sometimes this is not possible, in which case the order will be despatched as soon as is possible.

In the event an item is out of stock we will contact you to advise of a new delivery date, or an alternative where applicable. Most large items are sent via DHL and are insured against loss or damage. You must inspect the items for damage before you sign for delivery.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. Please contact us on 00 44 (0) 20 8123 9329, or email info@theukuleleshop.co.uk
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
Once you place an order at our website, you will be taken to PayPal's secure site to complete the transaction and make payment. PayPal ensure all details are encrypted and secure. We do not hold any credit card details.

Paying through PayPal is very easy and secure. You can choose to pay using any major credit card, or using your PayPal account if you have one. A PayPal account is NOT necessary however.

Returns Policy
In accordance with consumer protection (Distance Selling) regulations 2000, the consumer has seven working days in which to cancel the contract of sale (without reason), starting from the day after receipt of goods. Any claims for damage, non-functionality and mis-shipping must be made within 7 days of receipt. After this date, faulty goods returned within a reasonable time will be refunded in full or replaced as compliant with the amended Sale of goods Act 1979. Goods returned as faulty that are found to be in good order with no defects may incur a service charge. Any goods returned without prior authorisation will be rejected. Subjective issues, such as playability or action, do not constitute as faulty.

It is the consumer's responsibility to pay for carriage on all returned goods (unless the goods are being returned to us as faulty). The consumer is also responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the returned item(s). A full refund for the item(s) will always be given within 30 days of cancellation of the order. Opened software will be accepted for credit if the software is proven to be faulty under manufacturers terms. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. All goods are sold subject to the The Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. E&OE. and the Distance Selling Act 2000.
